The passion for drawing came from an early age and was further encouraged by the Visual Education teachers who had in elementary education and who encouraged him to pursue high school in the Visual Arts course. It was hard to choose the university course since he had a taste for different areas and a desire to learn a little bit of everything and did not focus on any particular area without having a little of all the others. On the one hand he had a passion for drawing and painting that he was already improving, and on the other, architecture was a theme full of new discoveries.
He chose architecture for the challenge of the unknown and for knowing that he would not abandon the arts but rather complement the artistic skills that he had already acquired in the Visual Arts. During the architecture course he continued to use sketchbooks very much to represent ideas of the projects he was working on, especially in the initial / conceptual phase of the projects, always developing a narrative of his own. In parallel with university he kept the habit of drawing in both personal and professional projects focusing on portrait.
While developing the final project of architecture, the opportunity arose to develop another project in parallel with which he had long been longing for, an individual exhibition of drawing and painting. This exhibition, titled "Chapter One" took place in CCQ gallery space in Belém. After finishing the architecture course he worked as a trainee architect at the well known Lisbon based studio ARX Portugal Arquitectos untill May 2020 where he decided to leave the studio and focus more on his path as an artist.
